Tropical Storm Fay is headed our way, already is in our surrounding counties. South of us are in danger of flooding and high winds. Probably where I live just rain and probably some winds up to 20mph, but we could miss much of that. Still there will be tornado warnings and thunder storms here lasting until tomorrow they are predicting. SO that's all that is on our local news this morning.
I've decided to make my wonderful Chemo nurses bracelets but I wanted Swaraovski crystals which is the one thing I don't have enough of in my collection of beads, so I went shopping on EBay yesterday and ordered some beautiful ones and I'm anxious for them to get here.
Today with the rain I wish I could get into some of my books I have in line to read but concentrating on reading is just impossible for me and that ticks me off! I love to read, I've always read! I want to read! But I guess it's not to be right now.
So anyway, that's about all I know this early Friday morning. I feel still good. And I keep hoping maybe the side effects won't hit me so badly but it's only two days since my treatments and then I had the shot yesterday that can cause bone pain. But I'm not worrying about it for now. Taking feeling good and enjoying it for now.
Hoping you have a good Friday and a good weekend.
Love,
Robbin

It's interesting that you can't get into reading. Six years ago I had to have some major surgery that they didn't think I would live through(fooled them, didn't I). I also had to wait 6 weeks for the surgery. My problem had caused a major jump in my BP, and they had to get it down to close to normal before they would do the surgery.
During that six weeks, I wasn't allowed to do anything but sit and twiddle my thumbs. I thought I'd catch up on some reading, but I couldn't read either. I think it has to do with the stress you are under and not being able to concentrate and focus on certain things.
It was strange like that. After surgery, I read everything I could get my hands on.
I guess so Shirley, I hate it though cause I got some really good books to read!
Also there is something called Chemo Brain that is for real. As if my brain needed any other problems! I was nutty enough before hand, but it goes away too after treatment, I hope!
(I'm so glad you fooled them!)
I love your inspirational quote for today. It's new to me.
I don't work with jewelry anymore but at one time I did lost wax casting and gemstone cutting/mounting. That's in my past - I don't even have the equipment anymore. Have you checked out Firestone Mountain? It's a .com site. I've not looked at ebay - it's probably better. I just thought you might enjoy looking at Firemountain's web site. They are very dependable - or at least they were.
I hope the storm only gives you rain. We're so dry here that the prospect of rain is more than a reason to stay inside. Whatever, don't take any chances with the weather.
Wow, Mary I'd love to learn how to wax cast and cut gems and set them. Can't afford the equipment. I'd also like to learn how to work with glass.
I am familiar with and have bought from Fire Mountain and Shipwreck Beads too. It's in Washington and I've even been there. Could have spent a week there. Both of these places have gotton so expensive, I have to bargain hunt.
So far just rain here and I'm thinking that is all we'll get.
