A Rough Few Days

I've had a rough few days but hopefully am on the mend. On Tuesday, my blood pressure decided to bottom out and my blood sugar level decided to go way up, causing me to be very sick. I couldn't get my Pet Scan, because of the blood sugar. All of this due to the steroids I have to take right after the treatements for the following four days.
So, needless to say, I've been sick.
But then again, what do I expect when the medicines they give me eat away at white and red cells, eat up my iron, makes my blood pressure and blood sugar levels nuts? It's part of it I guess.
But, I'm ok, hanging in there.
Take care you all,

You keep right on hanging in there! Daylight is coming!

Same thing happened to me when I was taking chemo. Stupid prednisone played all kind of tricks with my blood sugar, eating and sleeping habits.

In 1989-90 there was no medication to take to help increase white blood cells, so it would be, take chemo, 10 days later my wbc would be down to nothing, then I would have to spend 10 days in the hospital taking IV antibotics, then home and 10 days later, repeat.

Sorry to ramble on so...sending thoughts, prayers and blessings your way today.

Hey MeMaw, you can ramble all you want, thanks for visiting.
And thanks for the encouragement. It's rough for sure but I'm going to get where I want to be~ Trying to stay focused on that. And I know they've come a long way in the treatment, thank goodness.

Robbin, I was wondering if you were not feeling so good. I wish there was something I could do for you. Do you have any help? At least is someone stopping by with a Cold Stone Creamery coffee and Heath bar flavored ice cream cone? OH, I guess that wouldn't be too good for the high blood sugar!

I just don't want you to be alone through this, so pretend I stop by each day with a treat and a hug. As always, you are in my prayers.

Hi Aisling and Marge,
My mother lives just up from me, she calls me several times and could be here in a heartbeat if I needed her.
Thanks for caring. And I'm hanging in there. I have to keep believing all this is for a good reason. And I guess not having a return of Cancer would be a very good reason.

Sending healing prayers and warm thoughts. I know this is really, really hard but you are doing so well considering what your body is going through.

I'm so sorry you are having to go through these treatments, but we are all hoping and praying the medicine does just what it's supposed to.

I was thinking about the song by Donna Summers back in the disco days called 'I Will Survive'. I think that should be your theme song.

Hope today is better than the last few.
