Yummy!!! I love, love, love pecan pie!!! Back home, we used to have a black walnut tree close by and they were sooo yummy. My mom would buy them by the peck at our outside grocer, too.
Mostly we have pecan trees here so that is what I grew up with. Down the road here there is an old Black Walnut tree and it's the only one I've ever seen. It only has a few nuts now, I think it is over a hundred years old. I love black walnuts too. Used to be my daddy's favorite kind of ice cream.
