American Native Wisdom

Hold On

Hold on to what is good,
Even if it's a handful of earth.
Hold on to what you believe,
Even if it's a tree that stands by itself.
Hold on to what you must do,
Even if it's a long way from here.
Hold on to your life,
Even if it's easier to let go.
Hold on to my hand,
Even if someday I'll be gone away from you.

Thanks for posting this Indian prayer. It is beautiful!

I've just found your blog, and am reading your past posts. I'm so sorry for your recent loss and I pray your online friends have been a comfort to you. I plan to keep coming back.

Yep, you reminded me of that a few weeks ago when I was recovering from surgery, Aisling. I hope your party was wonderful.

Welcome Sage, and thank you so much. I will just have to go visit you too, and please do visit again.
I'm sorry you found me in the middle of my life getting turned inside out, and yes, without my blogger friends I don't know what I'd do. Thanks for stopping by. See you again soon.
