Feelings in Poetry

A Pantoum, I first was introduced to this type of poetry from Tammy over at
The Daily Warrior, so I just had to try it. Here's my contribution.

Our lives are connected by a delicate link
Without being linked we're bound to sink
Connected are we just like a chain
Links try to be strong for life to remain

Without being linked we're bound to sink
The chain can break within a blink
Links try to be strong for life to remain
From each connected link there is much to gain

The chain can break within a blink
So fragile is it, it can often kink
From each connected link there is much to gain
At times there is breakage causing much pain

So fragile is the chain it can often kink
Leaving hearts disconnected and stained pink
At times there is breakage causing much pain
But other links will merge and not complain

Leaving hearts disconnected and stained pink
Connected are we just like a chain
But other links will merge and not complain
Our lives are connected by a delicate link

That is a very interesting form of poetry. I have never heard of it before. Thanks for introducing us to it!

Robbin, I am going to share with you the reason that your blog caught my eye in the first place. It was the little quote from your grandfather about the cedar chest for the first granddaughter. I have a cedar chest made for me by my grandpa from cedar trees on his own land! The outside of the chest is from birch, also his own trees, and it is cedar lined. He made one for each of his granddaughters and gave it to us on our Confirmation Day, at about age 13. I think he made about 15 chests. He also made small boxes, wall shelves, magazine racks, and assorted other things from the smaller pieces of wood left from the chest construction.

I still have my chest. It now holds thousands of photos that I really need to go through one of these days! And I kind of feel a post about my grandpa coming on!!

God bless your day, Robbin!

Wonderful pantoum Robbin! Form poetry is not easy but you made it look that way. Great message here.

That's a perfect picture to add to the top of your blog. ;)

Have a good one!
